At Sahlgrenska University Hospital is a leading international Center for Musculoskeletal Tumor Research (CMT). The research conducted at this center and by other cancer researchers in this area is totally dependent on financial support from external funds and foundations.

Johan Jansson Foundation awards annual grants for research projects where contributions goes directly to research. Researchers who receive financial support for their research reports the results achieved to the Foundation Board. A financial contribution to the foundation may help to increased knowledge of musculoskeletal tumors, which could ultimately lead to better opportunities for rapid diagnosis, cure and improved quality of life.

The Foundation has no employees and no fees are paid to the Board. The cost amounts to an average of 5% of the Foundation’s capital and donations, the remaining funds will go to research and car subsidies.
